Real estate runs in Daniel Berkley’s blood—literally. His grandfather was one of the first developers to capitalize on completing large-scale commercial projects on the pristine shores of North Miami. He began investing in real estate when he was 20 years old, obtained his broker’s license by age 22 and quickly became the top-producing broker in both sales and transactions at Omni Real Estate in the burgeoning ski resort market in Summit County, Colorado.
At 27, Daniel visited Costa Rica on vacation and 16 years later has completed several successful developments of his own, including 3 gated communities and almost 20 homes. His projects speak to authentic Tico living in simplicity, authenticity and sustainable construction that speak to the cultural and environmental values inherent in the local culture. He speaks fluent Spanish and has extensive experience managing the nuances and the challenges of handling international real estate transactions and property management in-country.
Daniel is expecting his first son, with his Costa Rican fiancé and can be found surfing and mountain biking when he’s not doing real estate. “I miss my family and skiing, but other than that, Pura Vida!” he says.
